Every body starts somewhere! Paralympic athletes are no exception.
The Grassroots to Glory podcast from BBC Sounds gathers Olympic and Paralympic athletes from up and down the country for short interviews about their start in their chosen sport.

13 year old Iona Winnifrith from Kent is the youngest member of the GB Paralympic Swim team. The Tonbridge swimmer is a double European champion and is looking to beat the world record.

Sally Kidson: GB's youngest Boccia athlete. audio
Sally Kidson from Salisbury was introduced to the sport at primary school and has played it ever since.

A happy Hollie Arnold is a dangerous Hollie. audio
Javelin thrower Hollie, who won a gold medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and bronze in Tokyo, has spoken about her mental health struggles over the years but goes to Paris as the world champion.
