All the talk coming into this week was about Luke Humphries' 'homecoming' and wanting to continue the celebrations in Leeds.

The big Leeds United fan delivered on a night filled with dramatic matches, pipping his great rival Luke Littler to win the final.

More from Luke Humphries talking to Sky Sports: "When you know you're playing against Luke Littler you know you're not going to get away with mid-game performances, you need to be at your best to beat him. We weren't at our best but it was a decent final and I do seem to raise my performance against him.

"It is extra special to win in Leeds. I feel at home here, I know it isn't my hometown but it does feel extra special. I won here last year and it gave me extra confidence for the finals night and hopefully it does again and I can get that elusive Premier League crown that I've always dreamt of."

Luke Humphries talking to Sky Sports: "It was a good final. There has been a bit of a breeze up here tonight - I know I am the only one who goes on about it but it has been tough for all players. I tried my best and in the final I actually moved over to the left to compensate and it worked.

"It was a great final, Luke was good and when he won the 10th leg I thought 'argh I would have loved to have a shot at the 25'. I was pretty nervous at double top and then double 10 in the deciding leg because I really wanted to win tonight and luckily it went in.

"I am one of those players that really struggles with a draft but I have to get it out of my head because it is one of those things you have to deal with. There are many venues on the Premier League tour where we have it so we have to get on with it. Moving over to the left seemed to work for me.

"It was a much better performance and I'm really glad to win in Leeds."

Here is how the table looks after Luke Humphries' triumph on night 14.

He closes the gap Luke Littler at the top, while quietly Gerwyn Price has also secured his place at finals night as well.

That's because Michael van Gerwen faces Nathan Aspinall in the quarter-finals next week.

Those two will be battling it out for that final play-off spot over the next two weeks...

Luke Humphries raised his game in that final to secure his third nightly win.

He averaged 100.96 to Luke Littler's 99.89 and edged it 10-8 on 100-plus visits. Both players poured in five 180s.

It really was very close across all categories but it was Humphries slightly better on the doubles as well, 46.2% to 45.5%.

Another great match between the top two in the world. What chance we're seeing them to it all over again in the final at the O2 Arena on 29 May?

Luke Humphries gets the win in Leeds for the second year running!

It's his 'home' event and he is really enjoying that win.

Luke Littler pushed him all the way, forced that one-leg shootout and then had a dart at the bullseye for the match.

Like Humphries in the previous leg, he missed, and the world number one holds his nerve to take out 52.

His fifth 180 of the match puts him in control of the leg and he goes on to win it with an 80 checkout.
